Tunteet aivan sekaisin... Feelings all mixed up ...

Mulla on ollu aika (lue tosi paha) pahaa aikaa henkisesti tämä loman jälkeinen aika..

Nuorin poika muutti pois kotoa viime viikolla ja vanhin tämän viikon alussa - lähtivät kumpikin opiskelemaan tahoilleen..

Jäi tuo tytär sentään vielä äidin iloksi kotiin, mutta nukkumaanmeno ajat on TOSI ankeita, kun melkein 20 vuotta sai nauttia poikienkin hyvän yön toivotus halauksista...

Talokin tuntuu nyt niin tyhjältä...

I've been having a bad (read a really bad) time mentally after our holiday trip..

My youngest son moved out of the home last week, and the oldest at the beginning of this week
- Went out, each study to different locations..

Well, at least I still got our daughter home who brings a lillte delight her mother , but going to bed now  is REALLY  hard time for me, cause for almost 20 years I had the joy of boys giving me a goog night's hug before going bed....

House itself feels now so empty...

I have started crying many times and in many situations - so I have had a hand full with myself in these days. Customer service is creating little problems for me cause I get  a little piece on my throat from time to time..
For me it came as a huge surprise that how difficult this actually is for me.

But I sure that with time I will surely get over this...

At times, I'm a little bit ashamed of my foolishness ... A grown female  and is crying, for stupid little things ..

But I guess this belongs as a part of the splendor of motherhood ....

In terms of miniatures I have mainly tried desperately to be able to decide what on earth am I going to  start doing for the advent calendar swaps. .

It is therefore put you in this little "tutorial" of candlestick that is easy to make.. I hope you enjoy it and have some benefit from it.

I'm sure this is the familiar to you already.
Materiaalit: nasta, mustaa ompelulankaa, paperia (valitse mieleisesi väri) ja paperista leikattuja kuvioita - itse pidin tuosta vaahteranlehdestä.. Ja liimaa + sakset.

Paperin leveyteen vaikuttaa se, minkä pituisen kynttilän haluat...

Materials: pin, black sewing thread, paper (choose your color), and paper-cut patterns - I myself liked  that maple leaf pattern.. + Scissors and glue.

Width of the paper affected by the length of the candle you want to make ...
Liimaa lanka paperiin ja ala rullata..

Glue the yarn to the paper and start to roll ..
lopputulos näyttää tältä.. Sitten vain leikkaat sen keskeltä kahtia

the end result will look like this .. Then just cut it in half
"Somista" nasta - itse laitoin kolme lehteä..

"Embellish" spike - I used three leaves..
  Liimaa kynttilä paikoilleen piikkiin

Glue the candle in its place on the spike
..

 Lopputulos näyttää tältä.

The end result looks like this.
Tarpeen vaatiessa laita useampi kerros..

I myself put still some glue the candle that it looks more real ... If necessary, put more layers ..

    Mukavaa lauantai-illan jatkoa!!!

  3. Its not strange you cry now and then, you haven't lost your boys, but it most be hard not having them around. My daughter is only 1,5 years old and I don't want to think about the day she will be leaving home.. But I hope and guess it will take a lot of years until that happens =) Hope your kids will visit you a lot =)
Thanks for sharing a great tutorial! Very cleaver!

  4. It is so difficult when your children leave home. I have 2 adult daughters, on the one hand, I am so proud that they can take care of themselves, but I also miss the mother role. So be sad but also enjoy your daughter is still home.
    Fine tutorial.
    Hugs

Minullekin tilanne on tuttu. Halaus Kati

Give yourself a break...it is not foolish at all. you are going through a huge change and it is completely understandable. It will get better, you will see...just think of the great job you did raising your sons.

  10. How sincere of you to describe how you feel now both your sons have grown and left the house....in my language there even is a name for this feeling; "the empty nest syndrome":D. So it's quite normal and common for mothers to feel like this...but it does't make it less difficult of course....
Somehow I thought I was already following your blog but apparently I did not, for I just found out thanks to reading Hannah's blog; you made her lovely miniatures!
Now I am your newest follower. Thanks for your candle tutorial!
    Hugs, Liduina

  11. Thanks a lot for your visit to my blog!
I'm sorry for you about your son, we know that it will happen someday, but it happens always too soon... even I have a 18 year old son, but, luckily, here in Italy is not usual for jung people to leave home too early...
Miniaturing could help you a little: your chandelier is very nice, thanks for sharing the tutorial... Hugs franca
