Christmas "card"

I got myself last week a little Christmas inspiration - let's just say it came and it went..

Because of it I made a Christmas "card" to a shop owner next to our shop - we've known her for about the same time as we have had our shop (May Day will will became 13 years from it) - so she has become a kind of a friend to us..

Anyway - as I said... I made something little for her - she like miniatures too, so I thought she might like it..

Here's my "card" ( - I promised to someone I show it here  - so here it is.) Hope you like it..

 "Stripped" version for photography... Printed wall - and floor papers from net and glued them to pieces of cardboard to make the base..

 The mirror is made from the pizza box bottom and from a wooden tablecloth's strips and some sequins and pearls.
"fancy" little table is made from the pieces of cardboard and ribbon, painted with  nail polish - candle is a strip of paper wrapped around the sewing thread + glued to the pearl.. The tablecloth is a small Christmas craft decoration - I think its wool or something like that..

 Chair is made from the pattern I found here .
It's made - surprise, surprise... Cardboard and painted with nail polish.. Made few gift paper rolls and gifts from prints from net.. The chair's "pillow" is paper print too.

 Tree I didn't make - I just decorated it with a piece of the the golden ribbon thing I found from flea market (picture below) and some sequins + beads

 Wreath is made by wrapping velvet yarn around cardboard disk (like hat brim - you know...) and same kind of ribbon as in the Christmas tree, but in silver  - I used same heart sequins as in the tree, but with red beads..
And little angel decoration is trying to be like cherry on the cake ;)

This is how is looks as finished.
I added the elf picture to the wall so it wouldn't look so empty - and lastly I made a lantern too..
There was also a little card we I wrote merry Christmas wishes and it had mine and hubby's signatures in it..

(Now as I look at the pictures I think I maybe should have added some garland or what ever to the upper edge - but that's too late regarding this)

Later she told me she had it on her sales counter next to her cash register the whole week and there had been two customers whom would have wanted to buy it.
So I guess it's safe to say, it was liked. And certainly one of a kind version *grin*

Here's some flea market finds I forgot to show you last time (pictures were in a wrong place..)

 These are small Christmas decoration ball stuff, but to me they are laboratory supplies..

A whole bag of snowballs ;)

Ribbons... beads - LOVE the snowflakes... nail polish, color was so nice I had to take it.. some embroidery thread and knitting needles for miniature making purposes..

And I saved from work for my own use this..

It's a boot from a Santa costume - we had an odd package where there was three of them instead of two. So I took it to use it to make something nice in miniatures - book covers, clothes who knows - time will tell..

Rippikortti tyttärelle - Confirmation card for daughter

Tyttärelläni on rippijuhla sunnuntaina - tosin varsinainen juhla pidetään maanantaina, koska juhlatalo oli jo sunnuntain osalta varattu.
Pidämme juhlat Kylätalolla.- mikä tietenkin helpottaa mm. siivoamista ym. melkolailla (^^)

My daughter has communion celebration on Sunday - but the actual celebration will be held on Monday,  because the celebration  house was already booked for Sunday.
We keep our celebrations in the Village House - which, of course, facilitate, for instance. cleaning, etc. quite a bit (^^)

 Tältä "kortti" näyttää - toivottavasti tytär pitää siitä..
 This is how  "the card" looks like - I hope my daughter will like it..

 Käärin "kortin" sellofaaniin.. Niin ja tuossa tyhjällä alalla "lattiaa"- siinä on täytteenä pari korurasiaa jotka tytär saa lahjakseen..
I wrapped "the card" in cellophane..  Oh, and in that empty field "on the floor" - ti's filled with a couple of jewelery boxes which our daughter gets as gifts for us ..

 Kortit ja raamattu ovat netti printtejä.. Kynttilä on tehty paperista ja langasta.. Kukkaruukku ruusuille on korunosia.. Kakku on oman liikkeen valikoimaa.. Kakkutarjottimen tein isosta napista ja liimaputkilon korkista.
Cards and the bible are net prints.. The candle is made ​​of paper and thread... Flower pot for the roses  is  jewelery parts..  The cake is from our shop range.. I made a cake tray from the big button and glue tubes cap.

Sain tänään heinäkuun American Miniaturist - lehden.. Sain oman "kirjeeni" minimail-osastolle - kirjeeni on kuukauden tähtikirje.

Olen viimeaikoina "hieman" kirjoitellut heille.. Tämän vuoden surkeaa onneanki kuvastaa aika hyvin tämäkin tapaus..

Kuten olen kertonut - sain mieheltäni joululahjana kolmeksi vuodeksi tilauksen kyseisestä lehdestä..

No helmikuun lopulla kyselin sen perään kun yhtään numeroa ei ollut ilmestynyt.. Pienten kommellusten (kuten, että sain myös jonkun toisen lehden - joka lähetin eteenpäin oikealle henkilölle..) jälkeen sekä helmikuun että maaliskuun numerot saapuivat..

Aikaa kului töissä oli aikalailla kiireitä - sain kesäkuun numeron - ja silloin huomasin, että huhti - ja toukokuun numerothan puuttuvat!
Ei muuta kuin kyselemään niiden perään...

Ne tulivat... Ja kumpa siinä olisikin ollut kaikki...

Vähän sen jälkeen kun kyselin puuttuvien numeroiden perään ehdin työkiireiltä lukemaan kesäkuun numeroa..

Kaikki muuten hyvin - mutta....  Kun pääsin sivulle 49 - niin seuraava sivu olikin 67 - ja siitä jatkui sivulle 82 - sitten sain deja vu kokemuksen - sivu 67 UUDESTAAN! Siitä sitten loppusivut oli Ok..

Eli sivut 50 - 66 puuttuivat kokonaan (0_0)

Kirjoitin tietenkin asiasta lehteen. Ja sain kuulla, että muutama lehti oli ollut tuollaisia epäkurantteja versioita - ei monta. Ja tottakai meikäläisen tuurilla yksi niistä harvoista tuli juuri minulle :0\

Ja kirsikkana kakun päällä...

"Voitin" tähtikirjeestä downlodable version Ghouls and Goblins Project CD:stä  ja se on valitettavasti sellaisessa muodossa, että en saa sitä millään auki.

Edes tietokone alalla opiskeleva poikani ei saa sitä auki.









Today I received the July American Miniaturist - magazine..  I got my "letter " to the mini mail-department - my letter is Star Letter the month of.


I have recently been writing to them"a little" .. My this year's miserable luck this also reflects quite well with this case..





As I've told you - I got as a  Christmas present from my husband a three year subscription of this magazine ..

 Well, the end of February I asked after it cause I hadn' t got any issues from it.. After small mishaps (such as that I also got someone else magazine - which is sent forward to the right person ..) , finaly February as well as the  March issues came..
 
 Time passed  + I was busy at work - I got the June issue - and then I noticed that in April - May issues were missing!
 None other than the asking after them...

 They came..  And If only it would have been all ...

 Shortly after I asked after the missing issues I had time from the hectic rhythm of work .to read the June issue..

 All else as well - but....  When I got to page 49 - then the next page was a 67 and from there, it went to page 82 and then I got  deja vu experience - page 67 AGAIN! From there it went to the end Ok.  Ie pages 50-66 were completely missing (0_0)

I wrote, of course, the magazine about it. And I heard that a few of magazine had been downgraded versions like that - not many.
 And of course I was lucky enough to get one of them to myself :0\

And the icing on the cake ...

 "I won " for the star  letter  a  Downlodable version of the Ghouls and Goblins Project from CD, and unfortunately, it is in a form that I can not get it open.

 Even my son who is studying in the computer industry does not get it open.

Helpointa on kai sanoa, että ei paljoa nostata mielialaa..
The easiest way is to say, that did little to stir up the mood ..

 Tämän hetken mielialalla lähinnä vaan masentaa lisää ajatus siitä, että meillä on 22. hääpäiväkin edessä ensikuun 6. päivä
 With the current sentiment, I'm mostly more depressed even of the thought that we have our  22nd wedding anniversary in front on the July 6th..

Tämä vuosi ei ole ollut osaltani kauhena lempeä...
 This year has not been  terribly gentle on my part ..

Onneksi edes tuo tyttären "kortti" onnistui ihan OK...
Fortunately that "crad" for my daughter came out OK..

Niinan lahja ja kirpparilöytöjä.... taas :0)

Koska tänään on Niinan syntymäpäivä, niin voin viimein laittaa näkyville mitä hänelle lähetin :0)

Eli Niinan pakettiin päätyivät seuraavat tavarat..

 

Itsevirkkaamani tyyny+ peittosetti - ajattelin että josko kävisi värien perusteella noidalle...

 

Toinenkin itse virkattu tyyny + peittosetti , lisänä vielä "koristetyyny" - siis tuo missä on omituinen valkoinen tekele päällä.. Se yrittää esittää kukkaa *virne*  - yritin jonkinlaiset heteet siihen kirjailla, mutta taidot ei kauheen nättii riittäneet enkä oikien osannut visiotani toteuttaa :0.. .

 Lisää itsevirkattua... pieni musta liina (malli omasta päästä). Tuo pörröinen... No en oikein tiedä onko se matto vai seinävaate - saaja päättäköön itse missä sitä käyttää *hymy*

Pieni kori ja muutama pikku pullo, joko hajuvesipulloiksi tai Potion-pulloiksi sekä nalle helmi jonka saaja saa käyttää haluamallaan tavalla.

 Pari lautasellista leivonnaisia..

 Muutama kasvi - enemmän sieltä mielikuvitus maailmasta  kuin oikesta     =0}

Kirjarivi + irtokirja sekä nuo alimmaiset jutut kulhoina tai vaikka lampunosina käytettäviksi..

Toivon, että saaja pitää lahjastaan  :0)

Uusin American Miniaturist-lehti saapui eilen

Ehtisi vain lukea sen jossain vaiheessa....

Kirpparilla tuli käytyä (... TAAS *nolona*) etsimässä vaatteita ja tottakai (kuinkas muuten *heh*) tuli katseltua "toisella silmällä" myös josko jotain minien tekoon sopivaa löytyisi..

Mukaan lähti pari pikku pussia tavaraa mineiksi pääsyään odottelemaan, eli

 pikku pussi jossa "muutama" niitti - ajattelin heti,  nämä nähdessäni, että pitää ehtiessään kokeilla mm. kynttilän jaloiksi ja purkkien kansikis noita..

Ja aika sen näyttää mitä muuta noista voisi keksiä. Nuo nyt tulivat ensimmäisenä mieleen

Myös pieni pussi sinisiä nappeja oli joukkoon otettava - lautasiksi tai tarjoilualustoiksi noita tuumailin..

En ehtinyt ottaa kuvaa uusimmasta peitto virkkauksestani, mutta laitan kuvan kun sen ehdin ottamaan.

Palkinnon valmistelu etenee hitaasti mutta varmasti *virne* - tuunailu on jo aloitettu eli toiveita sen valmistumisesta uskaltanen ehkä aloittaa elättämään ;0)

Ja swappeja varten sain viimein listattua tavara- ehdotus listaa itselleni - nyt enää tarvitsee päättää, että mitä niistä oikeasti yrittää saada tehtyä *virne*  Eli luvassa on paljon "tieteellisiä tastailuja" joista parhaimmat pääsevät jatkoon..
